What We Believe

Scripture
We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, and that it is the final authority for daily living.  II Timothy 3:16-17

God
We believe in a sovereign God who created, sustains, and rules His universe.  He is one triune God personified as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (I Corinthians 8:6)

Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, and sinless life.  He died in our place for our sins, physically rose again, and will return to earth to set up His kingdom. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; 20:28; 28:2-6; Hebrews 4:15; I Thessalonians 4:14-17)

Sin
We believe that all men are condemned because of personal sin, and that apart from the grace of Jesus Christ, there is no escape from that condemnation. (Romans 3:10-12; 3:23; 8:1; Ephesians 2:8-9)

Salvation
We believe that all who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior are given the power to become children of God, and are to live godly lives through total submission to Him as Lord. (John 1:12; Colossians 3:1-2)

Future
We believe in the resurrection of all mankind: the saved to eternal life and fellowship with God, the lost to everlasting condemnation and separation from God. (II Corinthians 5:8; I Thessalonians 4:14-18; Matthew 7:23; John 5:25-29)
